Bar IP ("the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

Information Collected

Local IP Address: Retrieved locally via the macOS getifaddrs system API. Never transmitted externally.
Public IP Address: Retrieved via external service APIs (ipify or Cloudflare). The IP address is transmitted to the selected service during the request.
Network Interface Names: Retrieved locally only. Never transmitted externally.

Data Storage

IP addresses and interface information are held only temporarily in memory and are never persisted. Only user preferences are stored locally via UserDefaults. IP addresses themselves are never stored.
